Scottish Zero Emission Mobility Manufacturing Conference

Mission Zero for transport – working together to decarbonise zero emission mobility, to innovate in manufacturing and deliver green jobs.

About this event

There is a global demand for zero emissions vehicles. This conference is open to companies, organisations and funders who want to rise to the challenge of innovating to meet the changing needs of the transport sector.

Here in Scotland we have historical strengths in manufacturing heavy and niche vehicles and strong collaborative partnerships between the public and private sectors. This conference will highlight how the public and private sector have been working together and will pose questions for how to build on this to secure a successful future for the sector.

Event Background – The Scottish Zero Emission Mobility Manufacturing Conference is a collaboration between Scotland’s public sector agencies involved in Zero Emissions Mobility and Manufacturing and key innovation ecosystem partners.

The programme is split into 4 sessions each of which will be led by a different partner:

• Session 1 – Innovation in Zero Emission Transport. Led by Transport Scotland. Session will highlight the work of the Zero Emissions Industry Advisory Group and support for innovation in the sector.

• Session 3 – Procurement of Innovation. Led by Scottish Government Procurement/Scotland Excel. This session will highlight projects where procurement for innovation has played a key role in the ZEM sector in Scotland and lessons learned from outwith the sector.
