The 2022 to 2030 Supply Chain Climate & Ecological Emergency Strategy for the Scottish University and College Sectors.

The Scottish University and College sectors are committed to carrying out all of their operations in an environmentally, socially, ethically and economically responsible manner. This commitment extends to their procurement & supply chain management.

Our supply chains are estimated to make up between 65% to 80% of the sectors’ total Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions footprint. Universities and Colleges across Scotland are increasingly setting ambitious targets encompassing all three scopes of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, often specifying 2030 as their net zero target. We require our suppliers to take meaningful and material steps to support us in this task.
